Women in World

This series was created to take viewers on a journey of black womanhood. People of color are expected to grow up faster than their white counterparts. I learned from a young age that America wasn’t built with me in mind. Stereotypes are constantly hurled at black women: angry, ghetto, rough, unimportant, nappy, the list goes on. Yet, every single black woman finds happiness. This series portrays the beauty of black women’s lives: the messy, serious, and joyful sides that stereotypes will never be able to comprehend. I want every girl to know, whether she is pensive or playful, she is enough.
